International Director
Larry Schrodt
Memorial Award
This award recognizes Lions, Lioness and individuals who have made a difference in the life of a child. A donation of $500 Cdn will be used to build an endowment fund in the name of International Director Larry Schrodt for the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities' Easter Seal Houses and Camps.
When an individual, Lions or Lioness Club or District donates $500 Cdn for a Larry Schrodt Memorial Award an inscribed watch and medal will be presented to the recipient.
International Director Lion Larry Schrodt became a Lion in October of 1967. For over 27 years Lion Larry served his local Lions and has been a prominent ambassador for Lions throughout MD19 and Lions International. His leadership, membership and extension skills put him in large demand to travel and speak at Lions Clubs and Conventions all over MD19. Larry also served on the board of directors of the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities for 10 years and in that time was instrumental in affecting the lives of the children that attended the Easter Seal Camps and Easter Seal Houses. His contributions to children extend into many other areas as well including Camp Horizon. The sincere love and caring that Lion Larry expressed to everyone that he met, both Lions and others, inspired them to become friends forever.
