CHIP, CHIP, HURRAY!!
Easter Seals House fundraiser a big success
With over $16,600 raised, the B.C. Lions Society’s 23rd annual Chip In for the Kids was another resounding success this year! Residents from all around Greater Victoria, Sooke and Duncan showed up in droves to have their Christmas trees chipped and recycled. Volunteers from local Lion and Lioness clubs were on hand to help out, ensuring that the event ran smoothly as always.
“The response we get from the entire community for this event just keeps growing year after year,” says Shannon Bernays, Director of the B.C. Lions Society Vancouver Island. “Their generous support makes a definite difference in the lives of Island children and families who rely on Easter Seals House to be there when they need it.” All money raised at the Chip In for the Kids stays here on the Island in support of Vancouver Island Easter Seals House, a home-away-from-home for Island families travelling to Victoria for medical treatment.
A very special thanks to all the donors, volunteers and sponsors including; 103.1 JACK FM, Ocean 98.5, CTV Vancouver Island, Davey Tree Services, Competition Tree Service, West Island Tree Service, Peninsula Co-op, Budget Car and Truck Rental, Hothouse Pizza, Thrifty Foods, Western Foods, Starbucks Coffee and Titanium Tents.
